About Me...
I’ve been riding since I was 5 years old, and horses have always been the most important part of my life. As a sophomore from Colts Neck, New Jersey, I am a working student with Barbara and Brian Feigus at Nevergreen Farm. This experience has allowed me to not only grow as a rider but also gain invaluable hands-on knowledge in horse care, preparation, and training.
Over the past year, I’ve worked closely with my horse, Walker. From starting with a green horse a year ago, we have both come a long way including the addition of lead changes and building confidence when jumping. Through consistent training, patience, and determination, Walker has transformed into a confident and successful partner. Together some of our notable results include finishing 4th in the zone out of 90+ competitors as well as finishing in top ten in multiple USHJA National Hunter Derbies. More recently we have begun to compete in the equitation where I have already qualified for Hunt Seat Medal Finals for 2025.
In addition to riding Walker, I’ve had the opportunity to work with rehab horses at Nevergreen, helping them return to work, and I frequently ride and school ponies to prepare them for young riders at the barn. These experiences have strengthened my skills as a rider and deepened my passion for working with horses of all kinds.
Outside the barn, I’m a student at Red Bank Catholic High School, where I take honors-level courses and participate in various clubs. I also enjoy spending time at the beach with friends, traveling, and baking in my free time. While I’m still exploring what I want to study in college, I’m excited about the prospect of riding on a collegiate team. The opportunity to be part of a team that prioritizes preparation, training, and competing while sharing a love for horses and the sport is something I know I’ll thrive in. Representing a university while continuing to grow as a rider and student is a dream I can’t wait to pursue.
Riding has taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of hard work paying off. Whether it’s in the show ring or during quiet moments at the barn, the connection I share with horses like Walker is what makes this journey so rewarding.
